BrownMiller Group is a direct contact firm whose goal is to win campaigns by engaging people in politics and empowering them with the tools they need to change their community one person at a time.
BrownMiller Group is hiring Paid
Canvassers for a short-term canvass project July 7 – 15, 2015. Canvassers will talk with community members,
articulating a message and collecting signatures in support of a non-political
issue.
No fundraising required
Canvassers must be able to articulate the message / issue and successfully engage in dialog about this issue. Canvassers will capture data using a combination of paper and electronic systems.
Canvassers will work approximately four hour shifts and earn $12 per hour. Shifts are available morning, afternoon, and evenings each day.
Responsibilities
· Effectively communicate the message / issue one-on-one to community members
· Understand and articulate the broader concepts related to the message / issue
· Completely and accurately record data manually and electronically
Qualities and Abilities Required
· Canvassers must have excellent communication skills
· Canvassers must be skilled at engaging community members in conversation
· Canvassers must work well in a team and be flexible and adaptive to changing conditions
· Canvassers must be able to operate data collection systems
