Position:                             Coordinator – State Party Victory Fund

ResponsibilitiesPrimary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

·           Coordinate all aspects of multi-million dollar direct mail fundraising program – the State Party Victory Fund, which includes:  executing planning for Victory Fund mailings, setting up mail plan strategy and testing; liaison with DNC staff, state chairs and executive directors to edit and approve copy; managing the production process in cooperation with our consultant, tracking state party mailboxes, income and expenses; managing production of acknowledgments; incorporating web channels into the program; working with Director of Marketing and senior staff members at the DNC to grow the Victory Fund.

 

Other responsibilities of the position include:

·           Assist Director with proofing, vendor oversight, administrative, and other tasks associated with DNC grassroots fundraising programs;

·           Handle Victory Fund-related inquiries by state party staffers;

·           Field constituent service calls and requests;

·           Other duties as assigned.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

·           Bachelor’s degree plus 1-2 years of work experience.

·           Political or other non-profit experience required, fundraising/marketing experience preferred.

·           The successful applicant must be highly organized, attentive to detail, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

·           Excellent writing and communication skills, positive attitude and sense of humor also a must.

General Purpose

Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of revenue and cash receipt transactions.  There will be other responsibilities within the accounting department assigned on an as needed basis.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

·         Monitor all bank, merchant and revenue gateway accounts daily

·         Ensure all cash, chargebacks, and other transactions are recorded and reconciled daily

·         Review all employee reimbursements

·         Responsible for all accounts receivable functions

·         Assist in year-end accrual close

·         Prepare daily cash position report

·         Perform monthly bank reconciliations

·         Resolve any revenue/cash discrepancies

·         Prepare supporting schedules, analysis, and reports for maintenance, audits and required financial filings

Education and Experience

  • BS in Accounting or an equivalent degree required
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures
  • Proficient in data entry and management
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel
  • 2-4 years general accounting experience or 1-2 years if prior experience includes public accounting work
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (NAV) preferred

·         CPA preferred, but not required
