Field Organizer – Upstate NY Competitive Senate Campaign

Competitive Senate Campaign is looking to hire a full-time Field Organizer to work in the Albany, NY area. Field Organizers will manage volunteers, interns, and paid canvassers while working with the Field Director and Campaign Manager to meet and exceed direct voter contact goals in a battleground Senate district that covers five counties.

This district has a narrow Democratic enrollment advantage and has alternated between Democratic and Republican control in 2012 and 2014. Flipping this district is critical to democratic efforts to retake the NY Senate, and the progressive candidate has been endorsed by Our Revolution, and the Working Families Party.

              

Field Organizer Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Recruiting, training, and managing volunteers and paid canvassers
  
• Operating nightly phone bank efforts and canvass events
• Cutting turf and managing data entry
• Accurately tracking and reporting all field numbers to the Field Director

 Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Votebuilder/VAN
• Knowledge of Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel
• Strong communications skills 
• Available to work nights and weekends
• Access to a reliable personal laptop
• Must have reliable access to a vehicle and valid driver’s license
