Creative Team for The Public Interest Network

Overview:
Do you have design experience – with your newspaper at school, a group on campus or in your community, or a site on the Web? Do you care about issues such as climate change, fracking and money in politics? Do you believe in the power of story, image and design to help change the world?
 
If so, we’d like to talk to you. We’re the Creative Team for The Public Interest Network. 
 
We’re hiring a Design Associate to create materials that tell the stories of organizations like Environment America and U.S. PIRG. Your goal in the job is to connect with people—intellectually, emotionally, politically—and motivate them to join our efforts to win positive social change.

Qualifications:
You’re smart.
You have an interest in and aptitude for design and layout
You want to make the world a better place and have volunteered or worked on an issue or cause you feel passionate about.
You’re creative.
You’re good with people.
You’re eager to take on responsibility.
You respect goals, deadlines and budgets.

Newsletters
Direct Mail
Educational brochures
Canvassing materials
and more...

Philadelphia, PA
 
Pay and benefits:
The target annual compensation for this position is $25,500 in the first year. Staff in their second year receive a raise which averages $1500. The Public Interest Network's Creative Team offers a competitive benefits package. We also offer an excellent training program and opportunities for advancement.
