DCCC-designated Red-to-Blue campaign for a Western Congressional district is seeking qualified and energetic Organizers to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to join an innovative, scrappy team as well as flip a highly-competitive open seat.
Organizers are responsible for executing the campaign field plan, managing volunteers, and are accountable for all quantitative and qualitative field metrics. This position will operate remotely.
Organizer responsibilities:
Managing teams of active volunteers and continually working to identify new volunteers through phone calls, texting, and community events where possible.
Meeting and exceeding metric goals for volunteer recruitment and voter contact
Building welcoming communities and relationships with volunteers across the district
Hosting virtual events in assigned turf to identify new volunteers and engage voters
Training volunteers to conduct voter contact through all available methods
Personally executing voter contact and volunteer recruitment through all available methods
Daily data entry and reporting of qualitative and quantitative information
Other campaign duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
At least one cycle of political campaign field or comparable experience
Experience managing volunteers
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple tight deadlines with a smile
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to work long and sometimes irregular hours including weekends
Sense of humor and willingness to get creative is a must
Experience with organizing in rural areas + organizing remotely is a plus
Compensation: Salary for organizers is 3,000/month, along with healthcare benefits.
