Field Director for Suburban Chicago Congressional Incumbent

A Democratic Congressman in the western suburbs seeks a Field Director to oversee volunteer recruitment, voter outreach and stakeholder management. We are a campaign that values collaboration, both on the senior leadership team and between us and other Democratic campaigns up and down the ballot.

Job Responsibilities:

·       Manage, recruit and motivate organizers and paid canvass staff

·       Recruit and coordinate internship and fellowship program

·       Work with outside stakeholders on collaborative projects

·       Staff the Congressman at certain events (very occasionally)

·       Oversee operations of 3-4 field offices

Qualifications:

·       At least 1 cycle of Organizing experience

·       Experience managing relationships with stakeholders including down ballot candidates, Democratic committees and interest groups

·       Extensive familiarity with votebuilder

·       Patient and flexible, but accountable and able to hold others accountable.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·       The ability to work standard (long!) campaign hours

·       Reliable transportation, cell phone and laptop
