About the Position BattleAxe Digital is a women-owned and run full-service digital agency that integrates cutting-edge tactics with scroll-stopping creative to power an impact that wins. We’re seeking new account managers capable of independently executing digital strategy for their clients while also contributing to our highly collaborative team environment. Employees in this role will be responsible for managing copywriters and/or digital associates for some of their responsibilities. BattleAxe has offices in DC and Chicago, but we will be fully remote through at least June 2021 and applicants in other locations are still encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for your clients, handling strategic planning, client relations and program execution on your accounts
Manage all email and/or social programs within your portfolio including content, copy, execution, testing, client relations (opportunity to specialize in email/ads may exist if desired)
Manage all ad programs within your portfolio including strategy and planning, ad placement and media mix, budgeting, copy, resolving edits and obtaining approvals from clients, loading, monitoring, optimizing, and reporting (opportunity to specialize in email/ads may exist if desired)
Create landing pages using client CRMs and ActBlue, including ensuring all tracking works properly
Review work from copywriters, associates, and designers to ensure accuracy, quality, and alignment with client brand guidelines
A/B test and iterate tactics to improve results across clients
Analyze and report on results, translating data into actionable insights our clients can understand and use
Proactively guide strategy, making recommendations to clients based on testing results, news events, or other opportunities
Assist senior staff with business development and new client onboarding
Qualifications
Dedication to progressive politics and to creating and maintaining an inclusive and equitable work environment
2+ cycles of experience working in digital on political campaigns, at a political organization, or within a firm that works with one of those two.
Proven track record of managing clients
Experience loading, launching, monitoring, optimizing, and reporting on ad campaigns on Facebook and Google, including using pixels/tags
Experience loading, sending, and reporting on email campaigns using at least one of the following: ActionKit, Action Network, EA Tools (formerly BSD Tools), NGP/EveryAction, or Salsa
Experience tracking email acquisition campaign performance over time
Strong copywriting skills for both email and ads
Basic proficiency HTML/CSS
Impeccable attention to detail and metric-driven analytical thinking
Familiarity with Slack and Google Workspace
Comfort working outside of normal business hours as needed for rapid response and in the leadup to major elections
Candidates with any of the following qualifications will be given special consideration:
Fluency in Spanish
Experience with broadcast SMS tools
Experience running ads through a DSP like Amobee, Basis, Google DV360, the Trade Desk, or StackAdapt
Experience managing non-paid social media with tools like HootSuite, Sprout Social, etc.
Proficiency in SQL
Experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
