Iowa Senate Majority Fund- Call for Resumes

Campaign Manager

2018 is shaping up to be a great opportunity to gain seats for the Democratic Party in the Iowa Senate. The Senate Majority Fund, one of the top programs in the country for running and winning state legislative campaigns, is looking to expand our staff for the 2018 elections. The job description for a Campaign Manager includes but is not limited to the following functions:

General management:

• Day-to-day management of candidate and campaign

• Writing and implementing campaign plan

• Management of all databases for the campaign

Fundraising:

• Scheduling and staffing candidate’s call time

• Creating and implementing a finance plan and budget

• Setting up fundraising events

• Drafting mailings

Field:

Researching and tracking community events and leaders

• Voter contact through canvassing and phone calls

• Writing and implementing GOTV/Election Day plans

• Volunteer recruitment and management

Miscellaneous:

• Liaison to Senate Majority Fund and local campaign staff

• Work with candidate’s committee

• Work with consultant, caucus and campaign teams to develop localized campaign

Application Requirements:

• Strong verbal, organizational, written and interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to meet strict deadlines

• Self-motivated

• Computer skills required

• Access to reliable transportation

• Willingness to work long hours when necessary

• Previous campaign management experience highly preferred

• Solid multi-cycle campaign experience required

• Ability to relocate
