POSITION SUMMARY:
The mission of the new Mobilization Department at the Democratic National Committee is to bring ordinary people into the heart of the DNC and provide Americans with encouragement, power, and tools to mobilize in their communities. We organize in all 3,413 counties across the country, through the state parties and from the grassroots, and we seek to impact down-ballot races and build the Democratic resistance to the corrupt, dangerous Trump-Republican agenda.
We are a team of passionate, cross-discipline experts committed to spreading the truth, getting people more deeply involved, and mobilizing grassroots donors to support the party through creative, relentlessly optimized experiences online and offline. Come join us.
Our Regional Mobilization Directors are responsible for the success of mobilization programs at state parties, down-ballot campaigns, and DNC programs in a designated region. You should have a comprehensive understanding of digital organizing, fundraising best practices, and digital content, including social media. Have experience in digital or marketing at a state party? RESPONSIBILITIES:
ABOUT YOU:
Preferred Experience:
· 3 or more years of experience in digital organizing
· Writing for campaigns or speechwriting for a political campaign or office, or a state party
· SMS programs (such as Revere and Mobile Commons) and 1:1 SMS organizing text tools (Megaphone, Hustle)
· Online organizing platforms and/or website CMS, CRM, and/or mass email systems (e.g. Blue State Digital, Convio, ActionKit)
· HTML/CSS
· Optimization and A/B testing
