Gray for Kentucky is building the team that will help Lexington Mayor Jim Gray defeat Rand Paul in November. We are currently seeking qualified candidates interested in joining our campaign.

The Finance Team has several positions to fill. Responsible for helping build our fundraising operation, finance team members will be tasked with ensuring the campaign has the resources needed to win in November. Responsibilities will include:

• Conducting donor research and debriefing to identify potential supporters

• Creating accurate, informative, and useful call sheets for the candidate.

• Providing high quality staffing and support of candidate call time.

• Managing a portfolio of relationships with committed supporters, seeking to develop and implement individual fundraising plans.

• Working with supporters to execute numerous fundraising events.

• Staffing candidate at meetings and events as appropriate.

• Keeping accurate records to assist team’s efforts in tracking performance and ensuring we are on plan.

• Participating in other activities and tasks as directed by Finance Director or Campaign Manager.

Members of the Finance Team will be part of a hard working team seeking to hit ambitious goals. Candidates should be prepared for a fast paced, dynamic environment. While helpful, prior fundraising or campaign experience not required. Competitive candidates will:

• Have the interpersonal skills necessary to successfully engage and work with campaign fundraisers while professionally representing the campaign.

• Bring a track record of successfully operating in a collaborative environment.

• Will have strong writing skills.

• Be a problem solver who will seek creative solutions to encountered challenges, willing to ask questions and seek opportunities to grow and learn.

• Bring an attention to detail and follow-up to all their work.

• Have knowledge of the political process, and current political events.

• Have past experience with standard office software and NGP, or willingness to learn quickly.

Finance Team positions are salaried, and compensation is commensurate with experience.
