HIRING: Finance Manager for competitive NY state senate race

Jen Metzger's campaign for NY State Senate (district 42) is seeking a Finance Manager for this election cycle. This is a competitive race and NY is one seat away from a Democratic majority. The Finance Manager will work closely with the candidate and campaign manager to meet the financial goals of the campaign.

The ideal applicant will be highly organized and detail-oriented, with great communication skills. Applicant will also be willing to work irregular hours, and have a strong commitment to economic, social, racial, and environmental justice.

RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

• Managing and implementing a finance program which includes events, call time, online solicitations and weekly, monthly and quarterly goals.

• Identifying and researching donor prospects and opportunities.

• Preparing lists and managing call time.

• Assisting in writing fundraising emails, mailers, and other outreach materials.

• Managing finance interns and volunteers.

• Ensuring proper follow up on all contributions, pledges, and correspondence.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least one cycle of campaign finance experience or equivalent – statewide campaign experience a plus.

• Knowledge of NGP, ActBlue, Excel, Google sheets.

• Working knowledge of campaign finance law and ethics.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with donor research and prospecting.

• Experience managing events a plus.

• Ties to New York's Hudson Valley and Catskills a plus.

COMPENSATION

Salaried, full-time position. Compensation commensurate with experience but does not include benefits.
