Description:

The JB Pritzker for Governor is seeking full-time Regional Organizing Directors for a statewide organizing program in Illinois. Regional Organizing Directors will be responsible for executing the statewide organizing plan within his/her assigned region. Regional Organizing Directors will be a critical element in the organizing program through their effective training and management of Organizers, who will be building and cultivating a large volunteer base. Regional Organizing Directors report to their Deputy Organizing Director.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a team of organizers through regular training and coaching to ensure region is operating effectively and efficiently

• Work directly with senior leadership to help implement new trainings and organizing tactics in their region

• Build political relationships among progressive and Democratic community members and leaders

• Meet and exceed organizing program goals

• Accurate and timely reporting

• Perform other duties as needed

Skills and Qualifications:

• 2+ cycles of competitive field experience strongly preferred

• Commitment to building a strong team culture through training and mutual accountability

• Strong knowledge of Votebuilder/VAN

• Strong knowledge of Google Docs, basic computer literacy, and access to a reliable laptop

• Ability to work long, irregular hours in a fast-paced, metrics-driven work environment

• Ability to work independently and in team settings

• A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and an ability to relocate as needed

• Winning mentality

Compensation:

Salary for this position is commensurate with experience and skills.
