Salaried Canvass Positions with the Minnesota DFL Coordinated Campaign

The Minnesota DFL Coordinated Campaign is hiring canvassers for the 2016 election cycle.  Full Time employment through election cycle. Compensation is commensurate with experience and multiple positions are available.

Minimum qualifications:

·        Active in the DFL Party or Democratic Party in another state and passionate about progressive values

·        Reliable transportation to the DFL office and cell phone

·        Strong interpersonal skills

·        Ability to work without supervision for long periods

·        Willingness to work irregular and long hours that are associated with campaigning

·        Willingness to do some statewide travel, including overnight trips

·        Willingness to work outside in inclement weather

·        Must be able to go door to door for 4-5 hours per day

·        Previous electoral or issue-based canvassing experience strongly preferred


Job duties:

Canvassers travel as a team to districts around the state, both in the Metro and Greater MN:

·        Go door to door to identify and persuade voters

·        Keep accurate records of conversations

·        Help teammates to establish best practices

·        Bring issues to the attention of the team leads and Early Vote Canvass Director

·        Additional phone calling to voters

·        Always representing candidates and their issues in the best, honest light

·        Other duties as assigned
