The New Hampshire Democratic Party is seeking full-time Organizers for the 2016 election. Organizers will be charged with implementing an aggressive field plan in their assigned regions and delivering the margin of victory on a top-tier U.S. Senate race and other races up and down the ticket. Organizers will report directly to Regional Organizing Directors and be based in targeted cities throughout the state. This is an excellent opportunity to gain invaluable experience working on top tier campaigns in one of the nation’s most important battleground states. Position runs until mid-November 2016.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Identifying, recruiting, and training volunteer leaders.
Working to build a neighborhood team volunteer structure to carry out activities such as
door-to-door canvassing, and phone banking.
Coordinating and participating in direct voter contact programs to motivate and mobilize
voters in key regions.
Implementing the state field plan in assigned turf and meeting goals for voter contact,
volunteer recruitment, and neighborhood team development within a turf.
Detailed, regular reporting of regional activities and program results.
Representing the campaign at community events and meetings.
Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully relate to and motivate volunteers.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
Ability to work independently and in team settings.
Ability to work long and irregular hours as needed.
Proven experience excelling in fast paced and metrics driven work environments.
Willingness to think creatively and solve problems proactively.
Strong commitment to Democratic politics and ideals, and electing Democratic candidates in New Hampshire.
Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle.
Knowledge of campaign technology.
