Field Director needed immediately in Chicago Suburbs

A highly competitive Democratic congressional campaign in the western suburbs of Chicago seeks a Field Director to run recruitment, training, and day-to-day management of a robust volunteer field program. 

 

Responsibilities include:

·      Recruit and train volunteers to engage in direct voter contact

·      Manage volunteer events including phone banks and canvas days

·      Prepare phone bank and canvass materials including call sheets and walk packs

·      Communicate directly with voters on the phone and in person

·      Ensure that data collection and reporting is timely and accurate

·      Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

·      Prior field experience (including volunteer experience)

·      Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable speaking to large groups 

·      Ability to work irregular hours (including evenings and weekends)

·      Familiarity with VAN

·      Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle

·      Access to a reliable phone and computer

·      Source of positive energy even in high-stress situations
