Organizing Director

Top tier Mayoral campaign in a major east coast city seeks Organizing Director for the 2020 Primary.  

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Develop and execute Field Plan

• Manage 4-7 Organizers, large team of volunteers, and possibly paid canvassers

• Recruit, interview, and hire Organizers

• Until Organizers are hired, will function as an Organize

• Volunteer Recruitment 

• Manage VAN

• Will design custom call/walk sheets

• Work with senior campaign staff to determine field strategy and goals for specific areas and timeframes

• Conduct volunteer trainings

• Report on Field Program to Senior Staff and the Campaign Campaign

 Qualifications

• Experience and confidence in designing a statewide field program that can prevail in a multi-candidate Democratic primary

• Experience working in diverse communities, and working in a diverse workplace

• Experience directing a staff of organizers

• Experience in organizing a large volunteer network in concert with overall field and political needs

• Knowledge of Google sheets 

• Advance knowledge of VAN required

• Must have at least one cycle of experience using Hustle or another texting program

Work will require approximately 40-60 hours per week, longer during GOTV. Compensation will be $4,000-5,000 per month (commensurate on experience) to be paid bi-monthly. Please apply emailing resume and 3 references to eastcoastm...@gmail.com
