The Idaho Democratic Party is hiring four organizers for various areas around the state as part of our Coordinated Campaign for 2016. We are building on the success of 2014 where the Idaho Dems re-elected all of our legislators and gained another seat in spite of a wave election year for the opposition. This year, field staff will be engaged in 11 months of grassroots organizing designed to help bring balance back to the Idaho legislature.
Field Organizers will be responsible for conducting voter contact activities. This position relies on recruiting, training and motivating a volunteer workforce, as well as coordinating and working with all Democratic county, legislative, and candidate organizations. This position lasts through the 2016 November election and is available in several locations throughout the state. Host housing is available for individuals willing to re-locate for the duration of employment and full-benefits will be offered to all of our staff. Field Organizers should expect a demanding work schedule and be available long hours, seven days a week. Field organizers are the heart and soul of the election and must have strong inter-personal skills, be highly organized, highly motivated and capable of working in a demanding work environment.
