JIL: DPS maturity

Dear valued members, 

You might be aware that the DPS accounts, maintained at TBL, have become matured last month. Therefore, these accounts can closed and en-chased now. 

Account holders individually can submit applications requesting for closure and en-cashment. The applications can be submitted either at TBL Khagrachari or can be sent through any of the TBL branches in Dhaka, they will dispatch the applications to Khagrachari. TBL Khagrachari branch is the ultimate authority to action on it.

Suggestions:
1. We may consider visiting Khagrachari in group and submit our applications to TBL Khagrachari branch for closure and en-cashment of DPS. (However, members can close their accounts individually, not necessary to be in group).

2. We may consider opening continuing the same practice for the next five year i.e. open another individual DPS account with the same instalment amount during the same visit.

Would appreciate your comments and suggestions on the above.

Thanks Kanchan bhai for your mail. Encashment of our DPSs in Dhaka may be fine but not sure about re-opening the same with an auto debiting instruction from our company account since authorization may be required of the signatories.

 

I am fine with visiting Kagra for encashment and re-opening purposes.

Thanks for your information. I can do it in convenient time. If all members agree to open DPS account for five years, I have no problem.

You know that each year company transaction profile has to be updated and signed. Last visit I updated company transaction profile and signed. Kanchan you have to sign on it when you will be in Khagrachari. Otherwise, it will be closed for transaction.

Dear Shubhashis bhai and Subrata da and others,

Thank you very much for your response and comments. Dr Kowshik babu said that his schedule is quite tight, and difficult for him to travel to Khagra before next Eid. 

I have talked to Trust Bank Khagrachari today and they said that if we cannot go to Khagrachari for closing the DPS, we can send the request by filling out the Accounts Closing Form (available at any TBL branch) from Dhaka. For this, however, we need to have an account in Trust Bank so that they can deposit the money to the account. If someone does not have an account at TBL, he can still use our Bata company account or somebody else's account maintained at TBL.

Very good to hear Sugata bhai that you r coming to BD next month. Not sure how long you will be in Khagra from the 23rd, I think Eid vacation starts from the end of Aug. Hope to be there during that time with keeping one working day for banking.  Hope along with Kanchan bhai, Doctor babu and others could make it as well.
