https://plugins.jenkins.io/vsphere-cloud lists that the plugin is maintained by Jason Swager, Eric Lordahl, and Peter Darton . They would be the ones that would likely evaluate a pull request proposing a fix. Pull requests should be submitted to https://github.com/jenkinsci/vsphere-cloud-plugin/pulls . The last release was done by Peter Darton.Since this is an open source community, the most likely way to get a fix you need is to create the fix and submit a pull request with the fix. While the maintainer evaluates your pull request, you can use the fix yourself and assure that it works well.

The configuration as code gitter channel https://gitter.im/jenkinsci/configuration-as-code-plugin is probably a good place to start the discussions about specific changes that might be needed. The contributing guide for that plugin describes how to prepare pull requests for success https://github.com/jenkinsci/vsphere-cloud-plugin/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md .

--Thanks Mark.Understood on doing the fix and PR. Happy to do that, but I have not done any Jenkins Plugin development. So if anyone has any pointers on how to fix, that would be appreciated.
