How to Automate the webservices api test using jenkins

Hi Team,

I am new to Jenkins with GIT and I need to automate webservices using Jenkins pipeline. Please help me one simple scripts with stages for API request and response to understand flow. Otherwise share the where can I get the example for my learning.

One thing though how do you run NPM into Jenkins server

cause we need NPM with for LARAVEL site and i tried from the plugin but it is taking lots of resources and jenkins was down for 30 minutes so is there any other way to make jenkins run the npm into the server everytime the build runs
