Jenkins Master Slave migration from one box to another

Hi,

I have currently Jenkins Master Slave setup (Jenkins ver. 1.641.) I have a new server and have installed the latest Jenkins ver. 1.651.3. I have https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Job+Import+Plugin Job Import Plugin to migrate all the jobs from the old server to the new server. I have a concern here about the other data like users,nodes,configs and extras. How do i migrate it? Do i need to take a backup of Jenkins Home directory /var/lib/jenkins on the old server and copy it to the new server?

I am thinking of uninstalling Jenkins ver. 1.651.3 and installing the same Jenkins ver. 1.641 on the new server and migrate the complete data and verify the setup. I am using CentOS Linux version 6.7. Once everything is fine then Upgrade it to the latest Jenkins ver. 1.651.3. Do i need to have the same Jenkins ver. 1.651.3 for Slave setup? 

Any help will be highly appreciable.
