Jenkins LTS 1.532.2 and Java8

Hi guys,

is in any way possible to understand if Jenkins LTS 1.532.2 can run on a Tomcat 7 configured to use Java8? I tried and I get lot of exceptions in the logs.

Using the latest LTS 1.642.1 doesn't throw any error.

Is there a way to understand the supported requirements for a LTS version?

That version has a number of remotely exploitable security holes - are you sure you want to run it?

Using the latest LTS 1.642.1 doesn't throw any error.

Which will only run on JDK7+

Is there a way to understand the supported requirements for a LTS version?

Generally an LTS will only require JDK > X which will be in the change log or announcements
