How to change the jenkins job status to PASS/FAIL?

Hello All,

I want to change the status of my jenkins job based on the result of other parameter's value. How can I do that? I would prefer the through Jenkins REST API. If I can change with rest api, then it would be best solution.

It depends what type of job do you have.
