In Jenkins,  if I have a polling schedule every 15 minutes on a job,  does Jenkins know not to run the job again if the same job is still running after 15 minutes ?

Since you are polling for new changes every 15 minutes, then If there are new changes then it will trigger another build

To add to Victor's answer, depending on the job/on your context, you can also enable the fact that a new build is allowed even if another one for the same job is already running.

My 2 cents

Is there a setting to make sure the next build does not run if there is already a build running ?
