Jenkins and Gitlab - Please Help!!

I've been trying to get Jenkins to work with my company's GitLab server for weeks, trying all sort of things and nothing works. All the problems that i've been having have to do with certificates, but I need some help in troubleshooting and fixing.

I have the following plugins installed: Credentials, Git Client, Git Plugin, GIT server plugin, Github plugin, Gitlab plugin.

In the Gitlab section under "Configure System", I'm trying to connect to Gitlab using the "GitLab API Token" that I setup using This article. I keep getting this error: 

Client error: Certificate for <cert.MyCompany.com> doesn't match common name of the certificate subject: MyCompany

Any one saw this before?
