How to deploy readily availble war file in JBOSS 6.x using Jenkins

Hi All,

     I am new to Jenkins. I am working in very small testing organization. My organization is trying to implement Automated deployment process. I kindly request every one help me out in this regard.

 

     I am not getting how to create a new job only for the deployment of a war from a location to JBOSS.  Can some one tell me step by step to create new job to achieve this task.

Hi there,

There are different strategies based on your build tools and stage environments:

- gradle https://github.com/bmuschko/gradle-cargo-plugin
- maven http://docs.jboss.org/jbossas/7/plugins/maven/latest/
- shell script via scp/rsync

If so you can even connect your servers into jenkins as slave/agents or run your scp from another slave as a jump box.... I hope it helps
