Hello,

Can somebody share what is the latest Jenkins Version in market, where to look for. Are there any steps which can be followed to install/configure, later I would want to migrate my older jenkins jobs to the updated version. Need Help !

Didn't you just ask the same kind of thing an hour ago and I replied to you?

Richard.

Hello,

Thanks for responding, thought I might have asked too much in one query but still I am looking for answers as did not understood IMHO terminology...I could see Jenkins version latest as Latest and greatest (1.619)

Can you confirm if I am seeing right version ?

Yes, that's the latest weekly release.  If the last version you installed was older than a few months, then that may hint that you should install the long term support release instead of the weekly release.  The long term support release only delivers a new version about 4 times a year, and has more testing than the weekly releases.

I have currently 1.569 version but looks long term release version will come with license purchase ? and in mine company they would prefer to go with free version which I assume is weekly release i.e. 1.619 version. Is my understanding correct ?

Should I directly install 1.619 version..

The long term support version does not require a license purchase.

You are welcome to install the weekly release (1.619) if you wish, but the long term support version is also free and open source, just like the weekly version.
