NPE in JIRA Plugin after update to 3.0.7

I've observed that in 3.0.7 release notes there's this improvement JENKINS-19195. I can't say for sure, but after update to this version all my builds that closes releases stopped work with NPE, no more stacktrace. 

After it's downgrade, the problem had been solved.

If you confirmed the issue, and would like to raise chances to see it fixe, please file a JIRA in the tracker with clear reproduction steps (ideally, providing the fix PR with it).
