How to enable Jenkins security, so that while login userid and password should ask

Hi All,

I am new in Jenkins.

as i forgot the userid/pwd of the jenkins, hence was not able to login. To solve this problem, i have modified the useSecurity of /var/lib/jenkins/congif.xml from true to false.

After that i restart jenkins and was able to access jenkins without userid/pwd.

now again i want to enable the userid/pwd security  (as i found them) , so that jenkins should ask useid/pwd for login.

Please help how to reset enable the userid/pwd.

Hi JD,

You can enable the security first, but allow anyone could do anything. Then you can create a new user or just reset the password.
