Hi Jenkins Community,

I’m working on embedding the interactive Blue Ocean UI into a Vue3 + Arco Design Pro frontend project. Users should be able to perform all operations (e.g., trigger builds, view logs) within the embedded UI.

Key questions:

  1. Are there APIs or iframe solutions to embed Blue Ocean without breaking existing Vue3 components?
  2. How to handle session/auth between the embedded UI and Jenkins server?
  3. Any known conflicts with modern frameworks like Vue3?

Technical stack: Vue3, Arco Design Pro, Vite. Code examples or config references would be highly appreciated!

Best regards,
xin.sheng

Hi Xin,

Thank you for reaching out with your query regarding Blue Ocean. It’s great to see your enthusiasm for integrating Jenkins' features into your project.

However, I wanted to inform you that Blue Ocean is deprecated, and it's generally not recommended to invest in integrating it into new projects. Instead, I suggest considering the Pipeline Graph View plugin, which offers a modern alternative for many of the functionalities you seek.

Regarding your specific questions:
- While there might be existing APIs for integration, considering deprecated software is not advisable for long-term project stability and support.
- For handling session/auth between your frontend and the Jenkins server, you might want to explore other plugins or solutions that are actively maintained and compatible with current toolsets like Vue3.
- The Pipeline Graph View plugin might offer better compatibility with modern frameworks, reducing potential conflicts.

I recommend looking into the documentation for the alternative plugin for more up-to-date and supported functionality.

Best regards,
