Is there any possibility to keep a build forever programmatically after submitting an input approval step?

currentBuild.rawBuild.keepLog(true) should do this.

This requires sandbox script approval.

Should probably be exposed for 'currentBuild' and allowed in the sandbox, so please file an RFE.

You need to have an account on the Jenkins infra.
You can create one going on accounts.jenkins.io

Then create a Jira issue in issues.jenkins-ci.org
