Matrix Project Plugin configuration storage

Hello guys,

Does anyone knows how the Matrix Project Plugin configuration is stored?

I want to script some changes. I need a way to change the User Defined Axis -> "value" field from a script.

IMO a use case for the job DSL plugin. See https://github.com/jenkinsci/job-dsl-plugin/wiki/Job-reference and look for "matrix job".
