I'm assuming there's a way to get code completion (intellisense) for jenkins when editing a groovy script in an IDE like Intellij or eclipse but I haven't been able to find any resources explaining how to do that.  I'm a .NET developer and not super familiar with java.  I'm guessing this is an easy thing to do (I'm hoping anyway).

If anyone can point to resources or give any hints, it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Clint

Hi,

That article could help get you started with Eclipse, (install the Groovy support)
(in case you wonder, and as I already had that question on IRC, Groovy is a general purpose language, unrelated to the Jenkins development per-se)

Cheers
PS : intellisense is IIUC a specific verbiage of VS, in general it's called autocompletion FWIW.

Thanks Baptiste :)  I did find that blog after I posted.  I followed the directions but I still don't get autocompletion for something like Jenkins.instance.getJob though...  Any idea what I might be missing?

Thanks again,
Clint
