Jenkins won't start up: IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index: 0, Size: 0

Hi Guys,

I just updated some plugins (I dont know what they were) from the jenkins gui and I restarted. Then either the error came up or something similar. I had a look at a few blog posts and they said to delete the jpi files and folders from plugins so jenkins would re grab it. I did this and it still comes up with this error. 

I have no idea how to fix this and I need this up and running soon. Any help would be greatly appreciated..... I am totally stuck

Please provide the JDK version you're using, Jenkins version, ...

That exception reminds me of something: would you by chance be using JDK 8 and an old version of Jenkins like <1.565 or something?

I have the same problem as the described here.
