How to use shell scripts as SCM?

Hello,

I just got started with Jenkins. As I'm using special SCM which I can't find any related plugin. I'm wondering if there is a way to use shell script instead?

Current workaround is to make the checkout/update as separate job. But it's difficult to do that for multiple nodes.
