Clearcase plugin

Hi,

We have installed 7.1.2.4-RATL-RCC.linux_x86 in the Linux box. And Clearcase server is running in Windows machine. So I need to access the Windows VOB from Linux client.

This is the technote provided by IBM: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21141329

It is stated in IBM technote that windows VOB can be accessed by Linux client only via CCFS. And CCFS supports only snapshot view, not dynamic view.

Please suggest which clearcase plugin I have to use in Jenkins tool.

If not, How can I implement this?

1) Running Jenkins also in Windows machine where CLearcase thick client is installed. So that Windows thick client to Windows client is feasible and can use Simple Clearcase Dynamic plugin

Is this the only solution? Moving Windows VOB to Linux server is not possible, since the Clearcase is the repository for all the applications in our enterprise system

Well, it actually IS possible, albeit it would need some careful planning of course. Having said that, it's also the better solution, since it's far easier to access Unix hosted VOBs from Windows (either via Samba or NFS) than the other way round.

To get the VOBs (and views, you didn't tell what OS your view server is) migrated to Linux, to could also apply for a temp. MultiSite license, set up another CC region and replicate your VOBs to the Linux VOB server in that region. Once the move is done and all clients migrated, the MultiSite license is not needed anymore.
