We like to migrate some "Free-Style"-projects to pipelines.
Is it possible to do this "in place" (i.e. in the same job)? The background is that we do not want to lose the history and links to other jobs.

As you would need to delete the old job before you can create a new job with the name, no.
I would recommend to create a new job with a nice version (e.g. jobnameV2 ) in parallel to the old job, then disable (not delete! ) the old job.
