Version Number Plugin question

Hi everyone,

I intend to use Version Number Plugin to implement following functionality:

version number from  1.0.1 ----> 1.0.100 ----> 1.1.1---->.....

I already know how to increase the version number from 1.0.1 to  1.0.100. But I couldn't figure out how to reset number from 100 to 1, I googled a lot but there is barely useful solution. And the Jenkins documentation doesn't have a very detailed information.

Also, this number is different from the BUILD_NUMBER, which means the method "item.updateNextBuildNumber(1)" is not what I need.
