Hudson, Clearcase, and triggered builds not showing 'Recent Changes'

We've started using Hudson with base Clearcase.  We set up some polled jobs, and they just worked.  We particularly liked that the job would show the recent changes that went into Clearcase.

We've recently added some triggers into our Clearcase process, to trigger Hudson builds.  Unfortunately, we now see that for jobs that are run as part of a trigger, the 'Recent Changes' link on the job dashboard always shows 'No Changes' for a triggered job (even though it was triggered because of a change), while the 'Recent Changes' link for jobs that are still polled will correctly list the changes from Clearcase.

How do I fixed this to correctly show changes for a triggered job?

What operation types inside ClearCase did you attach your build trigger to, and is it attached as pre-op or post-op?  Better yet, can you send the output of a cleartool lstype –long and cleartool describe output on the trtype?

Hi,

there should be no difference between a job launched via trigger and a job launched via polling. Do you get some output from cleartool lshistory in builds launched via trigger?

I should have also asked if you are using MultiSite or not.  If you are, are you building within the same CC region as from which the trigger is being called?  If the answer to that is no, how frequent is your import/export scheduling?

hi,

I am trying to configure Base clearCase with Jenkins and unable to get the change.

we have 2 Hostts. A Jenkins installed, B clearcase installed and view is configured. i trigger the build from "A" jenkins server to "B" . Build works but changes are not shown.

Please provide details on how you configured to get the chnages.

Are you using Hudson or Jenkins?
