store jenkins configuration of jenkins in git via script

i want to schedule a task in windows task scheduler that will take the backup of job config.xml and store it in git repo..Any idea how to do it

There is a plugin that will store all your configuration files - including plugins and jobs in the choice of your scm. I think it's called scm configuration but will have to check. It will keep everything up to date automatically so no need to schedule stuff.
