Manual Approval does not work with Promoted build PlugIn

Hi 

I have two Jobs: 

A: Build java project using maven by checking out from git 

B: Deploy to Production 

I have set A to be promoted. 

I have tow issues here: 

1. Once A is done, not notification is sent to the approver, even though I entered the approver. Why is that? 

2. When I click on Promotion status for A, there is no approval section to kick of B.  Why is that?
