Just a minor issue. I installed Jenkins via the new installer and changed the port to 8081 in settings. Once the installation was completed, the installer redirected me to 8080 instead of the configured port. It is a minor issue, it could be fixed later

Also, redirect still happens after removing the package.

Maybe I could take this up, and try solving it. But I cannot find the source code for the installer

It hasn't been merged yet. It's still part of a PR.

Oleg Nenashev Can you check the jenkins.xml file and see if the correct port number is in there?

I finally got a VM up and running and the XML file is correct, the launch one is not though, so that's where I need to look.
