Jenkins not recognizing git option.

Builds seem to fail on docker commands.

Pipeline step shows it fails on `docker pull node:7-alpine`

But console output shows something else.

unknown option: -xe

Please provide a numbered list of steps which another person can use to duplicate the issue. A Jenkins NodeJS tutorial uses node:6-alpine successfully. I worked through that tutorial multiple times in the last few days and am confident that node:6-alpine works correctly with pipelines.

You could be mistakenly assuming that the node:7-alpine docker image contains command line git. You could be mistakenly performing the checkout incorrectly. There are many different ways that things could go wrong in your environment which cause you to see a failure that others do not see. Please provided detailed steps that others can use to see the issue. Refer to "How to Report an Issue" for guidelines that will increase the chances that others will investigate your report.
