| Improvement/Change: Ability to change the verb "Build" string in button "Build with parameters" to anything else on the project home screen (by any means possible e.g. options block in pipeline etc) Allow it to display deploy with parameters, /destroy with parameters / whatever! with parameters. Justification: Pressing buttons that do not accurately represent the action they initiate is alien to most users and especially to new users. More Explanation: Yes, we can title project names, descriptions and we can use input prompts to confirm from user when they e.g. are about to destroy some cloud infrastructure but as it stands, it looks amateurish through they eyes of new users. Similar requests have been raised before, as far back as 5 year ago afaik and dismissed as all to hard and embedded in some legacy core code. Is it on the roadmap? Blue Ocean has "Run" which is better (but not all inputs are supported there). The Plea: Please reconsidered what might seem trivial or even pointless to us who have clicked "Build with parameters" for everything so long and think it is normal. |
