Jenkins / New Feature JENKINS-57212
Global setting to change the default for browser time zone
Issue Type: New Feature New Feature
Assignee: Steven G Brown
Components: timestamper-plugin
Created: 2019-04-29 08:08
Environment: Timestamper Plugin, version 1.9
Priority: Minor Minor
Reporter: Maria Mueller

Hi,

as unfortunately Jenkins cannot be used with individual user time zones, we would like to operate in UTC for all our locations. By using the timestamper plugin, the time stamps are shown in browser time zone (a really nice feature!), but our users are confused about the different time zones, depending where they look...
For this, it would be nice to have a setting in "Manage Jenkins" area to change the default from "Use browser timezone" to just "System clock time". The user could switch it on, but I could configure a Jenkins instance with consistent time zone everywhere.

Thanks and best regards!
Maria
