Re: Oops after update to 2.150.1 LTS on main page

I moved this ticket here as there is more chance for it to be review than on the infrastructure project

Re: Oops after update to 2.150.1 LTS on main page

Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: hudson/matrix/MatrixRun

Something's wrong with the configuration. The matrix-project plugin is either not present, or otherwise cannot be loaded. See warnings on the /manage URL, or the Jenkins log for more information.

Not enough indication this is an actual bug.

Re: Oops after update to 2.150.1 LTS on main page

Hi,

how can I check the log-files. I can't navigate because of the "Oops". Most of the pages are not accessible.

How can I check if the matrix-project plugin is loaded correctly?

Ok, I configured a logging of the matrix-project plugin. But were can I find the logging output? I don't get it sorry. I'm no programmer.

I have still no solution. Can't navigate and don't know why this failure appear.

The jobs are running in the background and are working.

Is there anyone who can help me to find the problem?

Still no solution!

I updated to 2.164.2 and updated all plugins, but the problem still occures.

Jenkins jobs are running in the back, but most of the pages are not available.

Main page, /manage, /view/all/builds, ... the "Oops!" figure occures.

There is no Jenkins (core) bug here. Enable and/or install the matrix-project plugin, and/or disable plugins depending on it without properlydeclaring a dependency.

Thx for the answer. The "Matrix Project Plugin" is installed and enabled.

How can I find out if a plugin depends on it "properly"?

Check log messages during startup indicating it failed to load.

Please move any further conversation to the Jenkins users mailing list, Gitter, or IRC. This is an issue tracker, not a support site.

Thank you for your hints. It look's like it works again.

I dissabled all dependent plugins and it worked. Than I started to enable until the problem occures again. It was an HP ALM plugin which cause the problem.

Disabling all linked plugins to the matrix-project plugin solved the problem.

I enabled the plugins again until the problem appeared again. Problem was an HP ALM plugin.
