Jenkins / Task JENKINS-53314
how to parameterize default "workspace" folder name, jenkins on Tomcat on windows
Issue Type: Task Task
Assignee: Oleg Nenashev
Components: _unsorted
Created: 2018-08-29 12:00
Environment:  Jenkins v2.121.3
Priority: Minor Minor
Reporter: Muralidhar Ranganathan

I am using Jenkins on TomCat.

I have custom workspace folder set to d:\j which I achieved by setting the variable JENKINS_HOME on Tomcat\conf\context.xml.

`<Environment name="JENKINS_HOME" value="D:\J" type="java.lang.String"/>`

I want to keep my workspace folder name as short as possible, I would like my workspace folder to be D:\J\W.

I find the below value D:\J\config.xml,

<workspaceDir>${JENKINS_HOME}/workspace/${ITEM_FULL_NAME}</workspaceDir>

Can I somehow pass a parameter name like JENKINS_HOME so that I can achieve my required workspace folder name to D:\J\W?
