Did somebody find a solution to this??  I installed Jenkins on a raspberry pi on a small flash card (32GB).  I have an external USB connected and I wanted to symbolically link the jobs directory into a directory on the external drive.
I get the exact same error.  Maybe i'm just doing the link wrong but it seems like the same issue as this:
