Mark Waite resolved as Won't Fix

The JGit implementation (which seems to be what you're trying to use) in the git plugin does not support submodules. You'll need to use the command line git version for submodule support.

Re: submodules issue None, unless you're willing to implement submodule support in the JGitAPIImpl of the git plugin, along with tests in GitAPITestCase.
