I haven't dealt with this specific issue in a while (the report is from 3.5 years ago), but as far as I know the problem was never fixed. The pull request I initially offered was deemed incomplete and was not merged. I'm unaware of any other attempts to fix this bug. That being said, I'm not using a relevant setup anymore, so I have no personal interest in keeping this issue opened.
